[Resolved] Adding a new post type does not add it to the Dashboard

This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem: I created a new custom post type but I can't find it in the main wp-admin menu.

Solution: Go to Toolset > Post Types and edit the Press Items post type. In the Options table, make sure "show_menu", "show_ui", and "publicly_queryable" are checked.

I am trying to: Add a new custom post type called "Press Items"

Link to a page where the issue can be seen: (not added yet because Post Type doesn't work)

I expected to see: A new Post Type in the admin dashboard, after using Toolset to create a new post type called "Press Items"

Instead, I got: The same dashboard sidebar as before (Press Items is missing)

Hi, can you try the following troubleshooting steps?
- Go to Toolset > Post Types and edit the Press Items post type. In the Options table, make sure "show_menu", "show_ui", and "publicly_queryable" are checked.
- Temporarily deactivate all plugins except Types and activate a default theme like Twenty Seventeen. Test again.
- If the problem was resolved, reactivate your theme and other plugins one by one until the problem returns
- If the problem was not resolved, I'll need to take a closer look in your wp-admin area. I will activate private reply fields here so you can share login credentials in confidence.
