I have added some custom fields to the Post type and in the WYSIWYG editor, I choose Add Media and select the uploaded mp4 file. It does not play.
There is no scr or controles in:
"<mediaelementwrapper id="video-1165-5"><video class="wp-video-shortcode" id="video-1165-5_from_mejs" width="720" height="720" preload="metadata" style="width: 100%; height: 100%;">hidden link">hidden link;"
When I add the same video via the Gutenberg block, it works.
Hello. Thank you for contacting the Toolset support.
I can see the issue but I just run a test with .mov video, can you confirm that you are adding the video to post content (post body) field or you have WYSIWYG custom field where you are adding the video?
I works fine in the post content, but I cannot add it there because the post content works as Article intro and the Toolset CF acts as complete article. The video does not work in the WYSIWYG editor.
Maybe I have to switch the use of the CF and the Post Content.
Here is the sandbox site, you can auto-login to it using the following link:
- hidden link
Can you please try to setup the custom WYSISYG field and try to upload your mp4 file and see if you able to see the issue. If yes, please share the problem URL of that post.
I have created a post, hidden link
The video doesn't even show on your site.
At least, the Text mode for the WYSIWYG editor works on your sandbox. See a screenshot attached, where ours is empty.
Ok, so perhaps the fact that the text editor for the wysiwyg editor on our site is empty, while the visual editor shows the [video] code, could be a hint why it's not working on our site.
Can you please share problem URL and admin access details. Let me review if I can able to share any workaround.
*** Please make a FULL BACKUP of your database and website.***
I would also eventually need to request temporary access (WP-Admin) to your site. Preferably to a test site where the problem has been replicated if possible in order to be of better help and check if some configurations might need to be changed.
I have set the next reply to private which means only you and I have access to it.
Sorry, can't share problem URL as this is a live site and showing you the issue would mean everybody sees the issue.
I am sorry if I wasn't clear, but I have stated a few times already I try to add the mp4 to the Toolset WYSIWYG custom field "extra informatie".
As we checked with the sandbox site I shared where I could not able to reproduce the issue.
As you shared this is a production/live site for you, is it possible for you to share duplicator copy of your site?
It seems there could be possible compatibility with any of third-party plugins you are using or theme but we can not dig this further on live site that is why I will require site copy.
