Hello,

Thank you for getting in touch.

I checked on this for you and the content template screen is correct. Also your screenshot displays the correct output when you add a new content template.

It should open using the gutenburg editor. Is this not what you were expecting ? If you're not sure please let me know and I will clarify what is happening.

Thanks,
Shane

Thanks for the reply
On my testsite,I first get another screen, see attachment

The problem that I have is that I've made a editform for customers, but the link gives a blank screen

See the Edit link on hidden link

On hidden link there is a blank screen

So I think that has something to do with the template

Thanks for helping me.

Hello,

IT would appear that you want to edit the template using the classic editor.

My advise here is to rebuild the content template, however to do this you must first enable the classic editor by going to Toolset -> Settings -> Editing Experience and select "Show both the legacy and Blocks interface and let me choose which to use for each item I build".

From there under the content template option select Classic Editor.

Once you've done this please try creating a new content template to assign to the post type and let me know if the information starts Displaying on the frontend.

Thanks,
Shane

Hello,

Taking a look at the link below the page is displaying fine.
hidden link

So the template is displaying as intended.

Thanks,
Shane

Yes, I know but on that page you have an edit link
the problem is when I click on edit-link than there is a blank page

hidden link

The problem is not the template to show an "organisatie", but the problem is when I click an edit.

I want the edit form to display.

I did everything as you suggested.

Thank you!

Hello,

Would you mind if I took a copy of the site for further testing ?

It would appear that something else is preventing the form from showing up.

Thanks,
Shane

Hello,

Thanks for your reply

Sure, no problem that you take a copy.
I send you a login and password in my first post.

Thank you very much for helping me!

I hope that you can solve the problem, because the edit form for the customer was the main reason that we choose Toolset 😉

Thanks!!

Hello,

I've also made a copy of the site and i've tried the solution as it's discussed in https://toolset.com/forums/topic/content-template-for-new-custom-post-wont-display-content/#post-434302

I think that it's ok now

I will try it also on my production website and I'll let you know of it's ok.

Greetings

Hello,

You mention that the issue was resolved on your test site when you tried the solution in the forum link correct?

Does the solution present any issues on the test site?

The problem is essentially being caused by theme compatibility as it would appear that we are unable to hook into the filter hook that is being used to display the content when trying to render the dynamically generated edit form.

Switching to a default wordpress theme on the copy of the site that I made works but your theme it doesn't

If the solution from the forum thread works with no issues then you can go ahead and implement it on your live environment.

Thanks,
Shane

It works with the code that I found on https://toolset.com/forums/topic/content-template-for-new-custom-post-wont-display-content/#post-434302

I've implemented on my production site

My issue is resolved now. Thank you!
