Hey guys,
I just noticed that my homepage (100% made with Elementor, no Toolset Elements on it) is blank IF the Toolset View Plugin ist activated.
Once I deactived the plugin the startpage shows up as usual.
Also, theres no problem in the backend of Elementor, everything looks like it looked days ago.
I´ve tested it with the latest Toolset Version and also downgraded to Views 3.0. but it did not help.
Any idea? 🙂
Cheers
Jens
Litte update on that problem (got even weirder..)
I tried the troubleshooting mode in wordpress and checked out what plugins might cause some problems.
- Elementor works fine until I active the views plugin (3.0.1 or 3.0) then the homepage will turn empty again.
- I even tried to duplicate the homepage but ended up in the same trouble
- my custom post types that i´ve created and that are still visible in the backend simply end up in a 404error in the frontend (elementor and views activated). So its not even a blank page but a real 404 :/
Everything worked fine a few days ago and did not changed anything on the setttings.
Please help! :/
Again a small update: after saving the permalink structure again the custom post types work again. The homepage remain empty.
Hi Jens,
Thank you for contacting us and I'd be happy to assist.
The page's content can become blank if a Toolset content template and an Elementor page template is assigned to it at the same time.
Please go to your homepage's edit screen and make sure "None" is selected in the right pane, for the "Content Template" field.
In case the issue still persists, you're welcome to share temporary admin login details, for further troubleshooting.
Note: Your next reply will be private and please make a complete backup copy, before sharing the access details.
regards,
Waqar
My issue is resolved now. Thank you for that damn easy solution. Somehow I must have changed the content template.
After I´ve set it to "none" everything works fine, thanks so much 🙂
Late to the party, but big thank you for this solution!
If there's a Toolset with Elementor troubleshooting / FAQ, this should certainly be added.
