The issue here is that when the user is adding a new taxonomy some of the UI elements are missing.

Solution:

In this user's case it was the mbstring php module not active. I would recommend contacting the hosting provider and asking them to enable this module

To display the Types field using PHP, you can display it by using Types PHP API function types_render_termmeta()
