Layouts plugin provides a drag-and-drop editor that is used from the WordPress administration. Using this editor, you can create layouts, assign them to specific content and design entire pages.
When you ask for help or report issues, make sure to tell us the design that you want to achieve and the layouts that you have created so far.
Problem: When I try to see individual Author posts, a 404 error is shown.
Solution: The slug "author" is reserved in WordPress and should not be used as the slug for a custom post type. If you want to create an Authors custom post type, you must use a different slug. Then you can use Layouts to style the individual Author posts.
On the other hand, if you want to style the /author/ archives created automatically by WordPress, create an archive Layout or an archive Content Template and assign it to the author archive.
Problem: Two features offered by the Storefront Theme are not working correctly on Product Pages when WooCommerce Views single Product template is active. The two features are Storefront Product Sharing and Storefront Product pagination.
Solution: Update to the latest version of WooCommerce Views to receive the fix for this problem.
Problem: I'm trying to insert an edit post link, but instead of being able to select a Content Template, I see a message about creating a Layout.
Solution: When your site uses Toolset Layouts, you must use a Template Layout instead of a Content Template to include your edit post link and edit post Form.
Problem:
How can we add a link to edit the currently displayed Post, in a Template Layout, so that when clicked, the Toolset Form to edit this post is shown?
Solution:
You can create a Toolset form and insert it into a new Layout.
Do not assign this Layout to any content.
Then edit the Layout for the single posts where you want the Edit Link to appear.
Insert a "Edit Post Link" using a Visual Editor Cell.
When inserting this link the GUI will ask you to set the Layout which shows the form, where you can choose the layout you created in the first step.
This will now produce a link on the single posts which leads to the edit form for each post.
