Stop custom user changing their access permissions
Started by: Ben
in: Toolset Professional Support
Problem: I want the user to be able to use the Toolset plugins, just not be able to change their own, or anyone else's, to Access settings. Solution: You can remove the "Access Control" menu with some custom codes, like this: https://toolset.com/forums/topic/stop-custom-user-changing-their-access-permissions/#post-1125854 Relevant Documentation: https://developer.wordpress.org/reference/functions/remove_submenu_page/ |

Insert Content Template into single instance page using shortcode
Started by: Ben

Problem: The issue here is that the user wanted to assign a single content template to a post instead of the entire cpt. Solution: An explanation along with screenshots can be found below. |

Output Custom Fields conditionally from current post, inside a View

Problem: I have some conditional custom fields. If custom field A has option 1 selected, I want to display custom field B's value on the current post. If custom field A has option 2 selected, I want to display custom field C on the current post. Solution: There's no need for a View since you're placing these shortcodes on the single post page. The Types and Views shortcodes will display information about the current post, by design. Move your conditionals into the Content Template. |

Problem: User levels are selectable in Access something to do with Toolset or WordPress Core? Solution: It is related with WordPress core feature "User Levels": https://codex.wordpress.org/User_Levels But as mentioned in above document: User Levels were introduced in WordPress 1.5, they were replaced by Roles and Capabilities https://codex.wordpress.org/Roles_and_Capabilities Relevant Documentation: |

Restrict Post Relationship Fields to single instance
Started by: Ben
in: Toolset Professional Support
Problem: Say I have a Many to Many Relationship that links CPTs People and Cities. There is a Post Relationship Field called Type (checkboxes) which specifies the person's connection to the City. (Born, Lived, Current) Is there any way I can restrict it so that only one City can be connected as Born and Current, whereas many can be connected for Lived? Solution: You can setup two one-to-many relationships between post type "City" and "People": - Born - Current Then when your user edit a single "People" post, he can: - related only one "City" post in relationship "Born" - related only one "City" post in relationship "Current" Relevant Documentation: |
