I need the yoast variables to work with a custom field value.

The Yoast variables is: %%cf_<custom-field-name>%%
My Types custom field is: plaats-project
So, this is the right discription: %%cf_wpcf-plaats-project%%

Only it outputs not the name value but the number value (screenshot).

Hello. Thank you for contacting the Toolset support.

Types dropdown field stores dropdown option value into database and I believe Youst API is set to fetch custom field value of given field directly from database so unfortunately I do not have any solution to offer you here.
