WYSIWYG still not working in repeatable field group

This support ticket is created 5 years, 6 months ago. There's a good chance that you are reading advice that it now obsolete.

This is the technical support forum for Toolset - a suite of plugins for developing WordPress sites without writing PHP.

Everyone can read this forum, but only Toolset clients can post in it. Toolset support works 6 days per week, 19 hours per day.

I am trying to: Set up a CPT for my client to essentially create a newsletter. It uses the content editor for the main article of the newsletter with a repeatable field group for small sub-articles. I thought the simple multi-line field would work for their sub-articles but they've insisted they need formatting within the sub-articles. When the WYSIWYG field wouldn't work in the repeating field group, after researching I realized this was a known issue but should have been resolved with Types 3.3. I'm running 3.3.4 but the WYSIWYG field is still not showing up for me, just the name of the field.

Link to a page where the issue can be seen: This issue is appearing within the post editor. (see screenshot; excuse the currently messy array of additional fields - due to WCAG AA compliance, the custom template will be requiring additional information from the client creating the newsletter)

I expected to see: A TinyMCE editor labeled "Enter some text"

Instead, I got: The field label "Enter some text" with no editor

Are there certain circumstances that are still causing this issue to persist among some users? Within the Toolset family, I only have Types and Blocks installed at the moment. I know it's only due to being within the repeatable field group as it will display correctly when I place the field outside of the repeating field group.

That's strange, in my tests WYSIWYG work fine in RFG (Repeatable Field Groups).
Also, I am not aware of any known issues that are reported in regard.

Since when do you see this problem? Where did you see references to this being a known issue?

There were some issues, like https://toolset.com/forums/topic/the-wysiwyg-editor-in-a-repeatable-field-group/, https://toolset.com/errata/errors-when-using-a-wysiwyg-field-within-a-repeatable-field-group/ but that's not what you report.

I'd suggest, to test without any other plugin but Toolset. If then the issue persists, I probably will need a copy of the site (see https://toolset.com/faq/provide-supporters-copy-site/), unless you'll send me a link of a known issue that I maybe miss 🙂
