Tell us what you are trying to do?

Hello,
In a field group created for a custom post type, I've added a wysiswyg field.
When trying to edit a new post I can't type anything in this field.
What could be wrong?
Thank you

Hi Dominique,

Is this a new install ?

If not then it could be caused by a plugin conflict throwing a javascript error in your sites console.

In such a case I would recommend that you temporarily disable all the non-toolset plugins and try again.

Thanks,
Shane

Hi Shane,

Thank you for your reply.
I can't see any error in my console.

It seems that Wysiwyg field is not working well in Firefox.
I could reproduce the issue in the the Gym and Trainers Toolset demo site.

But in Google Chrome it is OK.

Regards

Hi Dominique,

Can you provide me with access to the site that you were able to reproduce the issue on so that I can have a look ?

I've enabled the private fields for your next response.

Thanks,
Shane

Hi Shane,

For now, I am working locally (Windows 10 with Laragon AMP).

But I made a Duplicator archive which you can download here: hidden link

Hi Dominique,

Thank you for the information. I managed to replicate it as well and sent a copy to our 2nd tier support for further checks.

For now the only acceptable way to work in firefox is to use the editor in the Text mode.

Thanks,
Shane

Hi Dominique,

It turns our that this is a known issue and we have n errata page for it at the link below.
https://toolset.com/errata/visual-tab-of-wysiwyg-field-doesnt-work-in-firefox/

Unfortunately as the errata states this is not something we can fix as it is an issue with the wordpress core itself.

Thanks,
Shane
