I am trying to: Run pages I've long run on jimproctor.us using [wpv-view etc.] shortcode

Link to a page where the issue can be seen: hidden link

I expected to see: Shortcode implementation in result

Instead, I got: Just shortcode displayed...in the above case: [wpv-view name="ecotypes-axis-archive-view"] displayed

This only happens when I'm logged in as admin, so you may not see it (possibly given backend cache?). I've previously given you admin access, and will provide this info as reminder in private fields below.

Hello. Thank you for contacting the Toolset support.

Unfortunately - the admin access details you shared is not working at this end. Can you please try to share working admin access details and I'm happy to review your setup.

*** Please make a FULL BACKUP of your database and website.***
I would also eventually need to request temporary access (WP-Admin) to your site. Preferably to a test site where the problem has been replicated if possible in order to be of better help and check if some configurations might need to be changed.

I have set the next reply to private which means only you and I have access to it.

I see you are using multisite and when I tried to access the plugins page: hidden link

I do not see views plugin installed or activated. Can you please try to install and activate views plugin and try to resolve your issue.

Yes, very very strange. I believe my other site uses your Toolset Blocks plugin to implement WPV Views shortcode, so I added/activated Blocks here and all is well.

(If you can advise as to how best to implement deprecated WPV Views shortcode, i.e., via Blocks or Views plugin, I'd appreciate.)

All I can imagine is that upon auto-updating at some point, either Views or Blocks was deleted from the entire multisite; this is weird, but explains why the shortcodes did not execute.

Thank you,

Jim P.

You can add the legacy views using blocks by adding the "Fields and Text" block and use the view's icon to add the view's shortcode to it. You can even try to use the shortcode block as well.

Thanks; all now makes sense. Now sure how the Blocks plugin was deleted!...must have been during update.
