Tell us what you are trying to do?
create wordpress archive templates

Is there any documentation that you are following?
yours

I have created a wordpress archive template for my Downloads post type (easy digital downloads).

When my downloads DO NOT have featured images, the archive layout works great. When the downloads DO have featured images it kills the site css for that layout.

here are two images that show how its killing all the css/code. Looks like it killed the total top part of the website

Hi Jen,

Thank you for contacting us and I'd be happy to assist.

Do you see any error or warning on-screen, in browser's console or in the server's error log, when this CSS issue occurs?

To troubleshoot this, I'll need to see exactly how this WordPress archive is set up in the admin area. Can you please share temporary admin login details along with the link to the effected WordPress archive?

Note: Your next reply will be private and please make a complete backup copy, before sharing the access details.

regards,
Waqar

Thank you for sharing the admin access.

I've noticed that most of the errors/warnings shown in the console are related to the "BuddyBoss Platform" plugin.

To troubleshoot this, I'll suggest the following steps:

1. Please make sure that WordPress, active theme and plugins are all updated to the latest versions.

2. It would be interesting to test this with all non-Toolset plugins disabled and a default theme like Twenty Twenty.

If it's fixed, you can start adding the disabled items, one-by-one, to narrow down to a possible conflicting one.

3. In case the issue still persists, I'll need a clone/snapshot of your website so that it can be investigated on a different server, without affecting the actual website.

Note: We usually recommend the Plugin “Duplicator” (http://wordpress.org/plugins/duplicator/) for this porpoise, but some hosts like WP Engine are known to block it.

In that case, you can create a backup file using "All-in-One WP Migration" plugin:

I've set your next reply as private and let me know how it goes.
