I haven't used either yet, but I am curious to know what is the difference between Toolset CRED and Toolset FORMS?
Are they the same thing, but the name has changed?
Does Toolset FORMS compare to Gravity Forms? If so, does one or the other have any major specific shortfall? (I've been enjoying Gravity Forms, but if FORMS is comparable, I may start switching sites over to use that instead.)
Can Toolset user submitted forms (using CRED or FORMS?) also export to a Google Sheet as well as create user membership profile pages, or user-generated content in WP?
Toolset Forms is our CRED plugin with a name change. The Toolset forms is just the newest version under the new name.
The Primary function of our Toolset Forms plugin is to allow users to create there posts from the Frontend. This is great because if you have a paid post service then you can allow customers to submit posts from the frontend without them having backend access.
I'm not too familiar with Gravity forms but I suspect that it's used to build contact forms or for gathering data. This can be achieved with our Toolset forms as you can create a Custom Post type in our Types plugin for gathering customer information and then users can fill out that data using the frontend forms.
Toolset forms also has notifications in which you can notify different persons when the information is submitted.
The data from Toolset forms is stored as wordpress posts and those can be exported as XML files. I believe google can import these xml files.
