What is the best theme for Toolset?
Toolset Starter, Astra, OceanWP, GeneratePress, Avada, DIVI?
Taking into account the following:
- Better features.
- No incompatibilities with Toolset Layouts and with Bootstrap.
- Easy to use.

The reference sites are created with Toolset Starter or with other themes?
If it is with other themes, are they created with the free versions?

Thanks for your information.

Best regards,
Francisco R.

Hi Francisco

I know you have had a lot of problems with Divi arising from the conflicts between its stylesheets and those of Bootstrap.

I would say that Divi is included in our recommended themes in spite of this simply because it is so popular, and so we work to try and make it compatible with Toolset, but as you know the road has been bumpy.

Do not use Toolset Starter, it is no longer recommended for anyone except clients who have already been using it for some time and want to continue using it.

Astra, OceanWP, and GeneratePress are all great free starter themes (which can be extended) and we would recommend them equally, it would be a question of personal preference. Each of them work with Layouts and have theme options available when creating templates.

We recently updated our Reference sites and they now work with each of these three themes, so installing a reference site and switching between themes and seeing how they are set-up should give you a good feel for which might suit you best.

Thanks for your tips.
I know that you are in charge of solving the adaptation problems between the CSS of DIVI and Bootstrap, so I would like to know how you handle all these problems.
In the web that I am doing there are numerous details that do not have the proper appearance and I would like to know how is the solution of these problems to see if I should take other routes.
There are problems that I observe that I can not know if they are contemplated in the problems that I have already indicated, so in my humble opinion there should be a kind of feedback between us to see if what you are doing solves all the problems or just some and I must report more problems.
I know that things are not always solved quickly, but ideally there would be a faster interaction, so I could help you more conveniently.
What do you think?

Actually Beda, a second tier supporter, has taken on the task of collecting all of the feedback about the Divi-related style issues and coordinating the fixes that can and should be shipped automatically with Toolset, but he is on vacation this week, which is why there haven't been any updates. He will be back next week.

I don't have any updates to share in the meantime.

Toolset is intended for developers who want to build custom sites without writing PHP, but it is expected that they are familiar and comfortable with HTML and CSS. With any theme it is likely that you will need to make adjustments to the styling of the site with some of your own CSS rules. With Divi I believe any additional stylesheet that is supplied will focus narrowly on the main styling conflicts that arise explicitly because of a conflict between Bootstrap and Divi styles, and it may still be the case that you need to do some additional styling, but I don't know the details of what the solution will include at the moment.

You would probably be better addressing comments on the other ticket to Beda who will resume work on this next week.

I do not expect you to solve any type of design that the user may want, but at least you should expect the DIVI theme to work correctly with those corrections.
Thank you very much for your information Nigel.
