Hi, Can I create a vertical scrolling gallery in a sidebar with toolset blocks, if so how?
I'm working on a medicinal plants website - on the home page I have several text search dropdown lists, I'd also like a list of plant images so people can also search by image as well as plant names.
Thanks for any help
Hello and thank you for contacting the Toolset support.
Toolset sliders do not support vertical alignment. In order to build one, you can generate an unstyled view, inside the loop, put a container block, and assign it a class, you can put the content of the slide inside the container block. And with a custom Javascript code and probably a slider library, you can build your own vertical slider. Check this page, it may help https://stackoverflow.com/questions/8996111/creating-a-vertical-slider-with-jquery
I hope this answers your questions. Let us know your feedback.
Hi Jamal, Thanks for this.
I think it'll be easier for me to try this: https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-vertical-image-slider/
I am not sure if the plugin will provide what you will need. From reading its description, you can build vertical slider only from the Media Library. You won't be able to pull the content of the slides from custom post types and custom fields.
Hi Jamal, I'm loading all images to the Media Library so this shouldn't be a problem
