View Slider Show only 1 post from each category!

This is the technical support forum for Toolset - a suite of plugins for developing WordPress sites without writing PHP.

Everyone can read this forum, but only Toolset clients can post in it. Toolset support works 6 days per week, 19 hours per day.

Hi there.

I have made a View Slider which works well, but I need this slider to Show only the latest post of each category!
Currently, it is showing all the latest posts and sometimes I would have a few posts in the same category but I want the latest of each category to be displayed.

Please let me know if there is any filter or solution to do this.

Hello,

I suggest you setup a nested view:
1) Parent taxonomy view, list terms of "category", in the views loop, display below child post view
2) Child post view, displays posts based on the parent taxonomy

Since it is a nested view, you can not use Views slider in this case, I suggest you the sliders using other slider JavaScripts, for example FlexSlider
