I have started using toolset for the under development site hidden link

On the main homepage, I displayed a toolset view. This is the view of a CPT "CWS".

So far CWS has two posts. Both are dispayed on frontend but linking on any individual post does not open that individual post page. those individual post pages do open with direct link. But "view" does not open them.

There is also another issue.

I also made an archive page for "CWS". This archive is saved but it does not open in frontend. Please help, since i am new, may be i am missing any or many things.

Hi there,

I didi not undertsand this:

So far CWS has two posts. Both are dispayed on frontend but linking on any individual post does not open that individual post page. those individual post pages do open with direct link. But "view" does not open them.

I checked your website and see that there is a row with columns showing the image and the title for the CWS post type.

If you want the titles have also link to the proper single pages, you can use the Toolset heading block and on the right side of the screen use the Post Title with Link option to show the title with the link to proper single page.

The WordPress Archives created by Toolset use the same archive slug WordPress uses as they are actually a WordPress archives.

So for the CWS post type it should be:

hidden link

Thanks.

Thank you for the guideline. Actually I resolved cws views linking to single page issue during weekend. But so far cws archive is not solved. When I try to make or modify this archive it says that "There were no posts found to display for this WordPress Archive's query".

However there do are posts in cws

Hi there,

Thanks, would you please double check to see if you follow the procedure correctly?

https://toolset.com/course-lesson/creating-a-custom-archive-page/

If yes, then I can take a look into the issue, I'd appreciate it if you could give me the URL/User/Pass of your WordPress dashboard after you make sure that you have a backup of your website.
It is absolutely important that you give us a guarantee that you have a backup so if something happens you will have a point of restore.

Make sure you set the next reply as private.

Hi there,

Thank you for the information. I checked and see the issue on the WordPress Archive part.

Do I have permission to copy the website to our server for further investigation?

Thanks.

#2677895

Yes. you may copy the site to your server to investigate the issue. One thing that is coming to my mind for now is that I did not define any texonomy for both the CPTs. But it should function even if these CPTs are so far without any texonomy. However you can better investigate the issue. Regards!

Has problem resolved?

Sir, I have checked my wordpress version. It is 6.4.2 so it is supported.

May be there was some fault in installation. Should I try reinstallation toolset?

Hi there,

Thank you, no need for reinstalling. I copied the website.

By going to WordPress Dashboard > Toolset > WordPress Archives and selecting the items and deleting them and also deleting the trash and adding a new one the problem of not showing the post items inside the editor is fixed.

But the problem of not showing the created archive in the front end still remains and it shows the archive of the theme instead of the Toolset created archive.

I deactivated all plugins and used a default 2021 theme.

I reported this to the second tier support and will get back to you as soon as I have an update.
It will be the beginning of the next week as we are in the weekend period at the moment.

Thanks.

Hi there,

The second tier just removed the WordPress Archives and clicked the trash icons to make sure a the WordPress Archives are deleted and created the WordPress Archive again and it shows correctly here in the copied website:

hidden link

(The login info is the same) ad you see everything added int he WordPress Archives shows in the front end.

Please do the same on the live website and see if it works.

Thanks.
