Tell us what you are trying to do?
I have a custom post type called "Issues". Within elementor I have a Single Post template set up to display on all my Issue Detail pages. This is an example of an Issue Detail page: hidden link The Single Post template contains both the top header section and the right column section: hidden link. The main body content is the post content and should be built within Elementor within each individual post.
However, when I go to an individual post and edit with elementor, the template disappears. This is an example: hidden link There is no header or right column sections
Is there any documentation that you are following?
I did find some documentation of issues that seemed similar and it said to be sure there were no Toolset Content Templates assigned. I did confirm that I have "None" set as the Content template for this post: hidden link The only other option I have here is "Template Dynamically Assigned by Toolset" but changing this doesn't change the display on the front end.
Is there a similar example that we can see?
The examples I am using are these: 1. Example with Elementor Single Post Template: hidden link However this individual post is not using elementor for the body content 2. Post using elementor for body content but the template content has disappeared: hidden link
What is the link to your site?
The site link is: hidden link
I set up a test site with elementor to try and reproduce the issue but I couldn't.
Both Elementor and Toolset Blocks have undergone quite a few changes that could affect templating recently, so I set up a test with older plugin versions where everything worked as expected per your description above, and then updated to the latest plugin versions, and I still couldn't reproduce the issue.
I think we'd need a copy of your site to look into what's going on in your own site if that's okay.
Could you please provide an installable backup with Duplicator (as described in hidden link), or you may find All in One WP Migration simpler to use, just be sure to exclude the media library when generating the back up file.
You can share a link to the backup (e.g. via Dropbox) here, it is hidden from other users.
Hello, I should be able to provide you with the copy using Duplicator. The first step in those instructions says to create an admin account for you. Is there a particular email address I should use for this account? Let me know and then I can set that up as well as the Duplicator copy. Thanks
The email address doesn't really matter, you can use mine (nigel.a@onthegosystems.com), although it may be somebody else that eventually works on the ticket.
Duplicator didn't end up working for me but the All in one Plugin worked. Hopefully this is what you need: hidden link Please let me know if this is helpful for you to take a look and replicate the issue. If you need anything further from me let me know. Thanks
The All in one package file does not work in my localhost, I have tried all users, it simply can not login into the admin side without any error message.
And I have checked it in the problem URLs you mentioned above: hidden link
I can see the similar results in both the top header section and the right column section as hidden link
Is this problem resolved, if you need more assistance for it, please provide your website credentials in below private message box, I need to export the duplicator package file from your website
The credentials you provided above is not an admin account, in order to install duplicator plugin in your website, admin account is required, please check it, make sure it is an valid admin account, then update this thread again, thanks
Thanks for the details, I can see the problem in your website.
And I have tried these:
1) Deactivate Toolset Blocks + Access plugin(except Types plugin, since the you are using Types plugin to create the "issue" custom post type)
2) Edit the problem post: hidden link
click button "Edit with Elementor", save the post
3) Test it in frontend, I see same result: missing header and column hidden link
So this problem is not related with Toolset plugins, but is related with Elementor plugin, I suggest you check it with Elementor supports.
And currently, you can design those posts with WordPress built-in Blocks editor.
