[Resolved] Using Oxygen Plugin instead of theme. Want custom icon for CPT

I want to create a custom icon for my CPT. But everything I find requires you to use a custom theme. I use OxygenBuilder which disables themes. I have already created a custom PLUGIN for WordPress to insert custom Functions... Could I add the custom icons there?

Is there any documentation that you are following?

Technically this is a LOCAL copy I am working on. But the site is irrelevant. I just need to know how to add a custom icon for a CPT.

Hello. Thank you for contacting the Toolset support.

Toolset offers the way so that you can change the custom post type icon when you edit your post type with the Icon setting section. Please check the following screenshot:

There is no other way I can offer you to set custom icon for your post type and if you are setting the icon from Oxygen plugin/theme, you need to contact the Oxygen plugin/theme support for further support on your query.

Maybe I didn't make myself clear...

If you look at my original post. If you see the place where I posted the URL to:

You will see that there is a way to use your own, custom icons, for a CPT if you edit the theme file.

I am trying to find out if there is a way to use "YOUR OWN CUSTOM ICON FILE" for a CPT if you don't have a theme. I use Oxygen to create my theme and it doesn't have the same theme files that the URL I shared discusses...

Dear Sridhar,

The ticket link which you shared as a reference is too old of the year 2014 and our product from that time to till now has been changed a lot.

With our current version of the Toolset Types plugin, we do not offer to upload the custom icon for your post type. There is no option available.

The only way to set custom icon for your post type is:
you can change the custom post type icon when you edit your post type with the Icon setting section. Please check the following screenshot:

I hope this makes everything clear now. if you want to add a feature that allow you to upload custom icon as per your will, you can file a feature request and our product manager will review it:
