[Resolved] Use Users display_name as menu link label in menu

This support ticket is created 3 years, 6 months ago. There's a good chance that you are reading advice that it now obsolete.

This is the technical support forum for Toolset - a suite of plugins for developing WordPress sites without writing PHP.

Everyone can read this forum, but only Toolset clients can post in it. Toolset support works 6 days per week, 19 hours per day.

Tell us what you are trying to do?

maybe i am missing something obvious, but i am using the Astra theme and the c&B starter template. I simply want to change the header primary navigation menu to use the users display_name when logged in OR a link to login/Register if not..... just like it shows on the main toolset website lol, my username/display name. I have attempted to just change the menu item label, which in the c&b theme is "My Account" to {user_displayname} with a dropdown of account link OR a Sign up / Log in link if not logged in.....

IT seems like displaying the username in a menu as title for my account etc would be typcial, so kind of think i am just missing a "simple" and obvious for others method....

Thank you for contacting us and I'd be happy to assist.

There is no built-in feature available in Toolset plugins to add the dynamic and conditional navigation menu items.

For this, you can use a third-party plugin like "User Menus" ( https://wordpress.org/plugins/user-menus/ ) as explained in this guide:
