Trying to update/publish templates or pages and the button is not clickable.
Could this be related? I've also noticed this error message on my plugins dashboard:
"Toolset plugin cannot connect to toolset.com
Toolset needs to connect to its server to check for new releases and security updates. Something in the network or security settings is preventing this. Please allow outgoing communication to toolset.com to remove this notice.
Need help? See the communication error details and let us know in Toolset technical support."
Thank you for your assistance.
I am not a developer.
I have created numerous WordPress sites in the past and have never had the issues I'm encountering now. I purchased Toolset because I thought it would help me but I've only had issues. Toolset is marketed to users who don't have to worry about code. So I'm getting very impatient with all of these issues!
I have very basic knowledge of HTML, Java, and CSS. So is there a way to fix this without inspecting a bunch of code?
I've checked the site but what appears to be happening is that your site is blocking access to some of the JSON responses on the site. This is causing the page to load with errors on the backend.
I've created a duplicate of your site locally here and none of these issues occur. I would suggest getting in touch with the Godaddy support team for them to allow these connections.
What you can do is to ask them to have a look at the site and inspect the browser console for the pages where the issue occurs and they should be able to allow these requests.
What was the response from Godaddy regarding this issue ?
A bit more information on there response would be helpful. As mentioned previously just taking a duplicator of your site and deploying it here locally doesn't replicate the issue.
They said there is nothing blocking JSON from running properly and that everything looks good with that. But said the firewall could be preventing you from being able to run them properly so we could add your IP address to Godaddy. Do you think that would help you see the issue better?
Are you looking at the Toolset Templates? That is mainly where I cannot update/publish them. I'm also having the same issue with Pages.
I AM able to update/publish posts and custom posts.
I have discovered that since I am using your gyms and trainers mock website I am able to update/publish custom templates that I have NOT edited yet but once I edit them or create a new one I am not able to use the publish/update button. Same goes for the pages.
I'm still having a lot of issues that seem to be caused by the Toolset plugins .The following are the specific ones causing issues and not allowing the update button to work:
Toolset Templates:
-Template for Gyms
-Template for Personal Trainers
Pages:
-Account Page
-Add Gym - Completely not working at all (nothing shows up but a blank white screen)
-Home
-Find the Best Gym
Then I tried deactivating all TOOLSET plugins and I could not recreate the issue of the update/publish buttons. They all worked fine. So I reactivated all the Toolset plugins and the issue came back-the update button doesn't work.
I was just on the phone with tech support from Godaddy again. He logged into the WP dashboard and he was having the same exact issues as me. He confirmed that everything is running fine on the server.
This all seems like Toolset errors because when I deactivated the plugins everything was fine. I don't know why it isn't happening on your end. But both me and the Godaddy tech had the same issue. Can you try updating the specific pages I mentioned above?
Hope all of that helps you solve the problem.
On a side note: I activated the Toolset Woocommerce plugin which caused a FATAL ERROR and had to completely uninstall and reinstall wordpress to get rid of.
Here is that error:
