Trying to update/publish templates or pages and the button is not clickable.

Could this be related? I've also noticed this error message on my plugins dashboard:

"Toolset plugin cannot connect to toolset.com
Toolset needs to connect to its server to check for new releases and security updates. Something in the network or security settings is preventing this. Please allow outgoing communication to toolset.com to remove this notice.

Need help? See the communication error details and let us know in Toolset technical support."

Hi Maria

The notice about connecting to toolset.com is typically temporary, and is unlikely to be related to your main issue.

If the update/publish buttons are inactive, could you check your browser dev tools to see if there are any JS errors in the console?

Hi Nigel,

Thank you for your assistance.
I am not a developer.
I have created numerous WordPress sites in the past and have never had the issues I'm encountering now. I purchased Toolset because I thought it would help me but I've only had issues. Toolset is marketed to users who don't have to worry about code. So I'm getting very impatient with all of these issues!

I have very basic knowledge of HTML, Java, and CSS. So is there a way to fix this without inspecting a bunch of code?

Hi Maria,

Would you mind allowing me to have admin access to the site as well as a link to the post where you're unable to click the update button?

I've enabled the private fields for your next response.

Thanks,
Shane

Hi Maria,

I've checked the site but what appears to be happening is that your site is blocking access to some of the JSON responses on the site. This is causing the page to load with errors on the backend.

I've created a duplicate of your site locally here and none of these issues occur. I would suggest getting in touch with the Godaddy support team for them to allow these connections.

What you can do is to ask them to have a look at the site and inspect the browser console for the pages where the issue occurs and they should be able to allow these requests.

Thanks,
Shane

Everything is fine I'll go daddy's side. Still the problem persists.

Hi Maria,

What was the response from Godaddy regarding this issue ?

A bit more information on there response would be helpful. As mentioned previously just taking a duplicator of your site and deploying it here locally doesn't replicate the issue.

Thanks,
Shane

Hi Shane,

They said there is nothing blocking JSON from running properly and that everything looks good with that. But said the firewall could be preventing you from being able to run them properly so we could add your IP address to Godaddy. Do you think that would help you see the issue better?

Are you looking at the Toolset Templates? That is mainly where I cannot update/publish them. I'm also having the same issue with Pages.

I AM able to update/publish posts and custom posts.

#2207029

Hi Shane is there any update on this?

I have discovered that since I am using your gyms and trainers mock website I am able to update/publish custom templates that I have NOT edited yet but once I edit them or create a new one I am not able to use the publish/update button. Same goes for the pages.

Hi Maria,

I tried logging into the site to gather a bit more information on the issue but it appears that the credentials may have changed.

Can you check to see if you're able to log in with the credentials that you provided?

Thanks,
Shane

Hi Maria,

Still unsure of what is causing this issue, can you reset the site and reinstall the demo given that there hasn't been any content added to the site ?

Thanks,
Shane

#2209003

Hi Shane,

I reset the site and reinstalled the demo.

I'm still having a lot of issues that seem to be caused by the Toolset plugins .The following are the specific ones causing issues and not allowing the update button to work:

Toolset Templates:
-Template for Gyms
-Template for Personal Trainers

Pages:
-Account Page
-Add Gym - Completely not working at all (nothing shows up but a blank white screen)
-Home
-Find the Best Gym

Then I tried deactivating all TOOLSET plugins and I could not recreate the issue of the update/publish buttons. They all worked fine. So I reactivated all the Toolset plugins and the issue came back-the update button doesn't work.

I was just on the phone with tech support from Godaddy again. He logged into the WP dashboard and he was having the same exact issues as me. He confirmed that everything is running fine on the server.

This all seems like Toolset errors because when I deactivated the plugins everything was fine. I don't know why it isn't happening on your end. But both me and the Godaddy tech had the same issue. Can you try updating the specific pages I mentioned above?

Hope all of that helps you solve the problem.

On a side note: I activated the Toolset Woocommerce plugin which caused a FATAL ERROR and had to completely uninstall and reinstall wordpress to get rid of.

Here is that error:

Hi Maria,

It would appear that you've disabled the admin permissions for the user role that you provided.

Please keep the user as admin until we can fully resolve this issue because if we need to escalate the ticket our 2nd tier team would need to log in as well.

Thanks,
Shane
