Update Parent Post Custom Field when adding a new child post

This is the technical support forum for Toolset - a suite of plugins for developing WordPress sites without writing PHP.

I have created a Parent Type "Tickets" and a Child Type "Action". I want to add an action that connects automatically to the current Ticket and at the same time updates the tickets custom field "Ticket Status" to "Open".

I have tried many snippets but nothing seems to function. I need some real support to get this done. Please!
