I am trying to: Edit a custom field and Update the custom post.

Link to a page where the issue can be seen: hidden link - the summary/excerpt section (which is a custom field) under Graduate News (which is a View)

I expected to see: My changes.

Instead, I got: I need to press the Update button twice to see the change in the editor AND on the front-end. Seems to be a caching issue. I've already tried disabling all other plugins and it has not resolved the issue. This started happening after I updated Toolset to the latest version last week. Currently running Toolset Access, Toolset Blocks, Toolset Forms, Toolset Types.

Hi Jonathan,

Thank you for getting in touch.

The field that you're having issues with is it a WYSIWYG field?

If so then you could be experiencing the issue being described in our erratas page below.
https://toolset.com/errata/visual-tab-of-wysiwyg-fields-may-not-initialize-correctly-appear-not-to-save-data/

Please provide further details on the issue so that I can assess further.

Thanks,
Shane

Hi Shane,

I'm the developer on the site. Yes, it seems to be only the WYSIWYG field. Is this the only solution for now?
"Comments on the WP tickets suggest that using the jQuery migrate helper plugin and choosing the legacy jQuery version can “fix” the issue: https://wordpress.org/plugins/enable-jquery-migrate-helper"

Hi Mariam,

Yes this is the only solution for now as this issue is coming from wordpress directly and they would need to release a fix on their end.

Thanks,
Shane
