Trying to insert an inline field using the Toolset Inline Field button in the block editor, when using the Genesis theme.

I can insert a field from the current post, but if I select "Other post" for the post source, then click on a post in the dropdown, nothing apparently happens, and I'm not able to insert anything.

Looking in the developer tools console, I can see that the server is giving a 500 error:

hidden link
[HTTP/2 500 Internal Server Error 227ms]

The error appears to be happening in this file: hidden link

The issue seems to occur particularly with Genesis - everything works as expected with Twenty Twentyone. There is a similar problem when using the Dynamic Sources selectors in the Block sidebar.

I've duplicated the issue on test site without other plugins installed, and I can give you admin access to that if you would like to take a look: hidden link

Many thanks,

Chris

Hello. Thank you for contacting the Toolset support.

Yes, please, can you please share admin access details and let me review whats going wrong with your setup.

*** Please make a FULL BACKUP of your database and website.***
I would also eventually need to request temporary access (WP-Admin and FTP) to your site. Preferably to a test site where the problem has been replicated if possible in order to be of better help and check if some configurations might need to be changed.

I have set the next reply to private which means only you and I have access to it.

Yes - I can see the issue and I've also checked with other themes and it works.

As it's a compatibility issue and it takes long time to fix it, I would like to share one of the possible workaround. You should try to add the "Fields and Text" block instead of paragraph block and then add the field you desired and then from the "Post selection" tab you should try to select the other post. Please check the following screenshot:

You can check I already added the "Fields and Text" block with your test page:

Hi Minash,

Great, thanks for that workaround - I should be able to do what I want using that approach for now.

Best wishes,

Chris
