This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:

When I create a new essay, I can't "Connect to existing Author" for some reason.

Solution:

The client fixed it by creating another author post for the name and do a redirect to the old one.

I am trying to:
Connecting an "Author" post type to an "Essay" post type

Link to a page where the issue can be seen:
Existing author with related essays: hidden link
When I create a new essay, I can't "Connect to existing Author" for some reason.
This is the only name (so far) that I have a problem.

I expected to see:
The name "Joseph Tabbi" pop up when I try to connect existing author under author_essay relationship.

Instead, I got:
A list of other author names. See image,.

Hello,

I assume we are talking about many-to-many relationship between post types "Author" and "Essay".

How do you setup the screenshot as you mentioned above:
hidden link

Is it a Toolset Relationship Form?

If it is, please check these:
1) edit that Relationship Form, in section "Form Editor", edit the field "Author", in option "Filtering", make sure you are using option "Options by any author".

2) In case it is a compatibility problem, please deactivate other plugins, and switch to wordpress default theme 2019, and test again

3) If the problem still persists, please provide database dump file(ZIP file) of your website, also point out the problem page URL and view URL, I need to test and debug it in my localhost, thanks
