Hello,
We just finsished our work to set the website from developer status to productive status. The development domain ist hidden link. The productive domain now is hidden link. How can I transfer the license to this new domain? Can you do this for me? Do I have to take additional steps?
Thanx,
Robert
Hello,
I just found this article:
https://toolset.com/faq/how-to-install-and-register-toolset/ which describes my problem and gives a step-by-step solution.
I did this but run into new problems. I proceded till step 4:
"In the new site, go to the Plugins page and click the Add New button. Then, click the Commercial tab to expose the Toolset plugins panel."
This is the next step:
"Scroll to the Toolset plugins panel and click Unregister Toolset from this site if it is visible, and confirm the action."
Problem is, that there is no Toolset entry. I only see a WPML entry???
Please help
Hi Robert,
Thank you for contacting us and I'd be happy to assist.
The option to register Toolset plugins is available when the Toolset Types plugin is active.
Can you please make sure that the Toolset Types plugin has been installed and activated on the website?
( ref: https://toolset.com/faq/how-to-install-and-register-toolset/#installing-the-toolset-types-plugin )
I hope this helps and please let me know if you need any further assistance around this.
regards,
Waqar
Hello Waqar,
Thank you for your reply. I am not shure, if this is the information I need. Let me explain:
I registered a license for the (development-)website wp.thermik.at March, 18th and everything went fine.
Now we are ready to publish the website under it's final domain hidden link.
So I managed to transfer the whole website and database to the new location using Duplicator.
To transfer the toolset license from wp.thermik.at to hidden link I went to https://toolset.com/faq/how-to-install-and-register-toolset/ , deleted the 'old' license and generated a new one for hidden link.
Now I went to the WordPress admin panel of hidden link to include this new key:
hidden link
But here I cannot find any entry for Toolbox to work on; only the screen I sent you above which shows WPML.
So, did I make something wrong? What do I have to do?
Thanx, Robert
Hi Robert,
Thank you for sharing these details.
Can you please go to your final/production website's admin area and visit the installed plugins page ( WP Admin -> Plugins -> Installed Plugins ), to confirm whether the Toolset Types plugin is active or not?
( example screenshot: hidden link )
If it is activated and the option to register Toolset is still missing, you're welcome to share temporary admin login details, so that I can troubleshoot this in more detail.
Note: Your next reply will be private and though no changes will be made on your website, please make a complete backup copy, before sharing the access details.
regards,
Waqar
Hi Robert,
Thank you for sharing these details.
I'm afraid, the username and password that you shared are not getting accepted.
However, the issues of missing content and possibly files that you mention can result from incomplete transfer/migration.
Note: The transfer/change in the Toolset registration key has nothing to do with this.
My recommendation would be to create a complete duplicator package of the development website again, making sure that no files or database tables are excluded.
Once that duplicator package is ready you can delete the existing production website and then deploy the duplicator package again.
Please let me know how it goes and if this solves these issues.
regards,
Waqar
Hello Waqar,
Oh, when something is wrong, all is wrong!
1. I checked this login problem and had to set another password for wordpress. I'm not shure if this reply is private, but in case of please delete it eventually. So the password is now: {removed}
2. No about my problem:
First of all I just saw, that 'Relationships' in WordPress menu does not load in the developer version as it does not in the production website. This is very strange, as it worked a few weeks ago and(!) the archive views including related objects are working pretty well in the development website. Look here: hidden link
This is a 'Hersteller' Single page referencing to 2 paraglider wings. This is strange?!
But let's asume that I do not need this developer website any more. Let's concentrate on hidden link. Please login there (should work now). As far as I can see, all the configurations, single pages, archives are there as they should be. I can see all of it in the backend; except the 'Relationships' not loading. I just checked the two database SQL files, importet the developer database a second time. But I still do net get a frontend archive view!

Single views are available(!)

Single view with related paraglider wings is not working

Please help
Hello Waqar,
I investigated further and found something totally strange: When I compare the developer page with the productive page, then I see major differences in the html code. Please compare:
hidden link
hidden link
After I click 'Show more' on hidden link (which is not present at hidden link), it seems all the entries are loaded but not displayed! I can see these in the html code! And this html code is different as on the development site!
Hey, this is very strange! At first sight I more than before think, that there is something wrong with the certificate. Even the plugin page tells me, that I am using n unregistered version of Toolset Blocks and Toolset Types.
As written all above, could you please transfer the registration vom wp.thermik.at to hidden link for Toolset Blocks and Toolset Types ...
Hi Robert,
Thank you for sharing the updated password.
When I visit the page which should show the option to enter Toolset's registration key ( WP Admin -> Plugins -> Add New -> Commercial ), I see a number of script errors, originating from the theme's file:
yourwebsite.com/wp-content/themes/kalium/includes/libraries/wpml-embedder/vendor/otgs/installer/res/js/admin.js
( screenshot: hidden link )
This means that there is no issue with your Toolset registration or newly generated site key, but there is a compatibility issue with the Kalium theme, that is not allowing the Toolset's registration section to load properly.
The same is also true for the Toolset post relationships management screen at WP Admin -> Toolset -> Relationships.
To narrow down to this compatibility issue (s), I'll recommend temporarily disabling all non-Toolset plugins and switch to a default theme like Twenty Twenty.
Once the Toolset registeration key has been entered, you can start adding the disabled items, one-by-one, to narrow down to a possible conflicting one.
I'll wait to hear back from you around the results.
regards,
Waqar
Hello and good morning,
I just followed your steps and activated temporary the theme 'Twenty Twenty'. Your are right: Now I could register Toolset. First step done.
Unfortunetaly the main problems still remain:
1. Archive pages showing no content
2. Relationship not loading
Both also happen with 'Twenty Twenty' activated.
Please let me repeat, that especially point 1. is very strange. Looking at the html code I can see the entries, but they are not showing up on front end and they do have a different format than on the developer website (here it's
You are free to activate 'Twenty Twenty' again if necessary ...
Thank you
Hi Robert,
Thank you for sharing the update and glad that the registration part is fixed.
I'm no longer able to access the admin area, as it seems the password has been changed again.
Did you get a chance to also test with all non-Toolset plugins disabled?
Since this back and forth communication is taking extra time, my recommendation would be to share a clone/snapshot of this production website, as explained here:
https://toolset.com/faq/provide-supporters-copy-site/
This will allow me to troubleshoot these issues in-depth on my own server.
Note: I've set your next reply as private.

Waqar
Hi Robert,
Thank you for sharing the duplicator package.
1. After installing that package on my own server, all these archive and view pages are showing the content correctly:
website.com/gleitschirm/
Screenshot: hidden link
website.com/hersteller/
Screenshot: hidden link
website.com/hersteller/nova/
Screenshot: hidden link
Do you recall making any changes to the hidden link website, after making the duplicator package that you shared with me?
If no changes were made and these pages are still not showing any content on the source website, it could be related to server configuration. Please make sure that all cache and optimizations are disabled at the server and CDN level (if in use).
You can also turn on WordPress debugging and see if any errors or warnings are shown on the screen or in the server's error log.
( ref: https://wordpress.org/support/article/debugging-in-wordpress/ )
2. As for the issue with the relationship and custom field management screen, it appears to be a result of a compatibility issue with "Another WordPress Classifieds Plugin (AWPCP)" plugin.
You'll note that those screens will start loading correctly, once that plugin is disabled. The plugin is loading a script file ( //ajax.aspnetcdn.com/ajax/knockout/knockout-3.5.0.js?ver=3.5.0 ) on all admin area pages when it should only be loading it for its own admin area pages.
You can report this compatibility issue to that plugin's official support team so that it can be fixed.
Important note: It is always recommended to use the latest versions of WordPress, plugins, and themes. If you're noticing an issue with your theme's latest release, you're welcome to start a new ticket and share it in detail, so it can be investigated too.
regards,
Waqar
Hello Waqar,
Thanks again for you reply again.
Oh I am really confused and do not know how to proceed.
In the meantime I tried to install the exact package, I gave you, on a totally different hoster and it shows the same missing archive pages as on hidden link. You can see here: hidden link
As this installation went pretty good for you, the difference can only be in the server configuration, right?
To answer your question, I did not make any changes to the website after this very package was sent to you. Both hosters also pretend, that no caching is activated.
What I found in the meantime:
As I have already written, the generated html code looks different. I looks like, the archive has the same html structure like the archive of regular blog post from this theme. The html code of the archive on wp.thermik.at looks different. So something is altering the rendering of the page. It sounds strange, but maybe it's really something todo with the server. Can we two make any comparisson of server related configurations? As far as I remember there is a plugin for wordpress, where server side configs are displayed (PHP version, upload limit, etc.). Do you know what I mean? Do you have any idea?
Hi Robert,
It is indeed strange that you're facing the same issue, on another server too.
To view the detailed server's PHP info, you can use a plugin like "Debug Info":
https://wordpress.org/plugins/debug-info/
With your permission, I can upload your website's clone on one of my online servers to see if the issue persists or not, and then you'll be able to view and compare the server's PHP info from there.
Please let me know if this can work and I'll proceed accordingly.
regards,
Waqar
Hello Waqar,
After a while I still have not resolved the problems, but I think I can break it down to a less demanding problem:
So meanwhile I discovered, that content views for my custom posts work pretty fine, as one can see here:
hidden link
hidden link (almost fine, see below)
The solution here was the this special declaration in Toolset setting, which function of my template is used to display a single post.
So I focus on archives and this is where I am now: Archives are still showing nothing. So this is now, what I did:
1. I deleted my Toolset WordPress-archives. When going to the proper URL I get the archive display from my template.
You can see this here: hidden link
2. When I go to Toolset > WordPress archives and set a new archive, I get a blank content page. I have done this with my second custom post type and you can see the result here: hidden link
So the problem is, that the archive rendering is not doing well and is maybe in conflict to the template's own functions.
In backend (WordPress) everything looks pretty fine when working with the archive.
Btw, I also changed the template for a moment to 'Twenty Twenty' and I also cannot see any output!
In a former support ticket, I had a similiar problem with another template, where you told me to copy over the index.php from 'Twenty Twenty', to rename it to archive.php and to put this in the child folder. Unfortunately this does not work here (no output).
I have seen many similiar questions in your support forum concerning other templates as well, but not solution for me. So maybe you have a deeper experience and hopefully a solution for this ...
Thanx,
Robert
