I am trying to: When I enable the Toolset Layout plugin my WOOF product filter stops working as expected.
Link to a page where the issue can be seen: hidden link
I expected to see: When The Toolset Layout is disabled the filter works as expected and all the items with color K, J, and I show up
Instead, I got: When Toolset Layout is enabled the Filter only returns the first item. In the example above the filter will only return items with color "K".
I installed the WooCommerce Product Filter plugin on a local test site to see if I could reproduce the issue, but as there are various ways the plugin can be used and more than one way you can customise the shop page with Toolset I'd need some more details about how you have this set up.
You can either describe how your shop page is made and how you are using the WOOF plugin, or if you give me access to your site I can take a look for myself.
I'll mark your next reply as private in case you want to share credentials with me. Make sure you have a current backup if so.
I installed the copy of your site locally and I can see that the results returned when Layouts is active are different than when it is not.
Before I go much further, can I point out that it is not recommended you use more than one page builder on a site. Layouts is our page builder, but you are already using WP Bakery/Visual Composer on your site.
Do you plan to stop using that and use Layouts instead?
Hey Nigel,
I bought toolset to create a template and change the layout of my product pages. My current pagebuilder does not support this functionality.
If you want to create a custom template for products, you can do that without Layouts by going to Toolset > Content Templates.
Create a new template for single products. (You'll need to make sure that Toolset > WooCommerce Views is set to use the Toolset WooCommerce Views PHP template for single products.)
When you edit the template for supported page builders you will notice a button to use the page builder to design the template (see screenshot).
For WooCommerce products you would insert elements of the WC UI using the shortcodes (listed at https://toolset.com/documentation/user-guides/views-shortcodes/) available in the Fields and Views button that you insert into text modules of the page builder.
I'm suggesting that because compatibility issues such as those you have reported between Layouts, WOOF, and WooCommerce Product Table may require the cooperation of other plugin authors to fix and can take quite a long time to resolve, and using your existing page builder should allow you to proceed.
Hey Nigel,
I had the same thought as you did but unfortunately WP Bakery (my page builder) doesn't seem to be compatible with Toolset. Maybe try on your clone. On my end, when I try to add a text box element the page builder becomes unresponsive and either doesn't load the element or doesn't let me save the element.
I tried on my copy of your site and I was able to edit the Content Template with WP Bakery without problem, but I had switched to the twentyseventeen theme in earlier testing.
Switching to the Jupiter theme I was able to reproduce the JS errors which appear in the console when trying to insert modules into a template.
I have reproduced this on a simple test site and provided a copy of that to my colleagues so they can take a closer look.
My colleagues report that this is fixed with the latest beta of the Jupiter theme, which you can try testing, and in any case should be resolved when they update the production version.
