I am trying to: I have made a clean install of WordPress on this domain yesterday. Have imported my toolset types created custom posts from another site using Types export, pages using WordPress export/import and my theme options (Avada). Now I'm running into a problem I came across before: Toolset is forcing me to use layouts for pages. All I want to do is to create content templates for my custom posts : resources, open positions, staff members and don't use layouts for all the pages.

A work aorund I think would be to make a layout for pages and insert a post content cell. But I don't want to use layouts. My experience is that is more complex than what I need to achieve,

Link to a page where the issue can be seen: All the pages having content created using Avada's page builder, ex. hidden link

I expected to see: The page content

Instead, I got: he content of this page is not showing yet because no template layout is assigned to it. A template layout controls what appears for pages. It's like the PHP template for other themes. The settings under layout saying what to display when no layouts set is "A blank page with a message:.. etc".

If I set it to "What the theme would output", my page content is completely overriden and what I see is a blog page / post feed. What is the bug with using Toolset with Avada?
Question: How can I ignore layputs? and only use content templates

Hi Alina

Is there anything that you do want to use Layouts for?

If you want to use Views Content Templates (which you can design with Avada) then why not just disable Layouts?
