Hi, when Toolset Access is active and managing a CPT, Authors cannot see CPT custom fields in the backend. Administrator can see them correctly when editing any post of the CPT, but Authors cannot edit the custom fields of their own post in the backend. If I deactivate Access they can see the custom fields.

Hi there

I don't see the same problem on my site, regardless of whether the post type is managed by Access or not.

An author has no problem seeing and editing custom fields of posts they create.

Access does have settings to limit access to field groups (screenshot), are these set correctly?

I confirm the same what Nigel shared.

Here is the test site where you can login using the following link:
=> hidden link

I've created two authors and I've set "user-author1" as author of the post "Boxing Training" belongs to "Session":
=> hidden link

You can login to "user-author1" using password Admin@999 and you will notice you will be able to Edit post "Boxing Training" and you can see and edit the custom fields as well.

Hi, I found the conflict. It is with the Give - Donation Plugin (https://wordpress.org/plugins/give/).

If Give - Donation and Access are active I cannot see the custom fields on the backend.

I can see all the custom fields if:
Give - Donation active
Access deactivated
or:
Give - Donation deactivated
Access active

cheers

I can see the issue when Give Donation plugin is active. I've escalated the issue to our next level support. Please hold on for further update.
