I want use Toolset to design a Flex slider using the the feature image from standard posts, and have thumbnails of those images for navigation. Ideal it would allow for the images to rotate and allow me to choose which posts would be used either by one per category (there are 8 categories to the site) or through the 'sticky' feature.

I saw 'https://toolset.com/forums/topic/use-image-thumbnail-as-the-navigation-for-a-slider/' which is similiar to what I want, but it uses a new custom content type.

Can my request be achieved with Toolset?

Thanks

Hello. Thank you for contacting the Toolset support.

As I understand you want to build flex slider with using default post type feature image. Yes - You should try to change your content type for the view to your default post type.
