I have a block view of “termine” (dates) which shall display the featured image of the type “Veranstaltungen” (events). Termine is in relation to Veranstaltung (many to one).

There is no option to select “featured image data” under "Parent in the Veranstaltungen Termine relationship” anymore*, unless I activate the “Featured image” in the Edit Post Type section of “Termine” under “Sections to display when editing Termine”.

Just to mention again: I want to display the featured image of “Veranstaltungen” and “Termin” should just carry the date time.

*it worked before without activating the featured image for “Termine”. Looks like i came by one of the latest updates

Hello, thanks for the report. I'm able to replicate this as well in my local tests, so I will escalate to my 2nd tier support team for some additional investigation. As you reported, you can activate the Featured Image option temporarily for the child post type to enable the parent post featured image option. Another workaround is to use Views shortcode for wpv-post-featured-image ( https://toolset.com/documentation/programmer-reference/views/views-shortcodes/#vf-153425 ), but this should not be necessary here. I'll let you know what I find out from the 2nd tier support team as soon as possible.

Our developers have acknowledged the issue and assured me the problem will be resolved in an upcoming release of the software. We are very near code freeze for the current round of updates, so I suspect this issue will be pushed to the next round. You can feel free to close the ticket here, or if you'd like to receive more progress updates leave the ticket open and I'll keep it on my radar.

Thanks again for the report!
