I am trying to: use Parametric Search Settings as "AJAX results update when visitors change any filter values"

I visited this URL: hidden link

I expected to see: clean HTML view

Instead, I got: messy page with Visual composer plugin shortcodes

Its working fine on the staging website with Ajax and not on the production (Live)? There is only one difference I can see and that is WP version. Staging has WP version 4.4.2 and Production has WP version 4.5.2

Hi Davin,

Thank you for contacting our support forum.

As mentioned the only seen difference is the wordpress version correct?

Are both the dev site and production site on the same server? As there could be differences in php versions.

Could you check the php versions and let me know 🙂

I've worked with customers where their Ajax wasn't working as intended because they were on php version 5.3

Thanks,
Shane

Hi Davin,

Could you try removing the filters completely and re-add it back ?

Sometimes small issues like these happen and removing and adding back the filters sometimes help.

Please let me know if this helps.
Thanks,
Shane

Hi David,

Since this is a live site I would much rather working on a copy of it.

What you can do is to download and install the plugin below and create a duplicator package for me to download and create a clone of the website.

https://wordpress.org/plugins/duplicator/

Please let me know once you have done this.

Thanks,
Shane

Hi Davin,

I took another look at this and I can determine that the reason why this is occurring is because the VC shortcodes are not being interpreted.

The reason is that these shortcodes are interpreted through php and unless there is a refresh then the shortcodes won't work after an AJAX refresh of the section.

This what I suspect is happening. I'm not sure why it works on your local site but not on the live server, could you contact VC support team to see if they can shed some light on this ?

Also if their shortcodes are able to be interpreted on an AJAX page refresh.

Thanks,
Shane
