Hi, I have a repeating field group called "Modules", and inside it is another repeating field group called "Modules Page", when I try to add new post and fill out the repeating field groups in "Modules Page", it doesn't save any data that I already fill, except the title, do you know how to fix that?
I am using :
Wordpress 5.5.1
Types 3.4.1
WP Views 3.3.1
Layouts 2.6.5
PHP version : 7.1.31
PHP Memory Limit : 256MB
MySQL Version : 5.5.5
Hi, I already know the issue,
So, the bug was triggered when using conditional display, so in the repeating field group "Modules" I also add a radio field, and in the "Modules Page" I control the field display using this conditional display based on the option in the radio field.
With that setting everything that I put in "Modules Page" not save in the post database, but when I deactivate the conditional display, now its working fine.
For this, is it consider a bug that will be fixed or not?
Hello. Thank you for contacting the Toolset support.
I see one ticket reported to our internal system but to ensure that you are having the same issue and how exactly you setup the conditions.
Can you please share problem URL and access details and tell me what exactly not working.
*** Please make a FULL BACKUP of your database and website.***
I would also eventually need to request temporary access (WP-Admin and FTP) to your site. Preferably to a test site where the problem has been replicated if possible in order to be of better help and check if some configurations might need to be changed.
I have set the next reply to private which means only you and I have access to it.
Hi, right now I am building the site in the localhost so I can't give you the access yet, but as I mentioned before this is happened when I create a repeating group field and put repeating field group again inside it, and make a conditional display for the inside repeating group field, when I delete the conditional display it working fine again, and this is my website configuration :

Thank you for sharing details about your plugin setup.
In this case - I will require setup about your repeating field group and how exactly you added the conditions and to what fields you have added the conditions.
If you can send me duplicator copy of your site and also share problem URL with information about where exactly you have added the conditions to what field that will help me to review your structure and help me to troubleshoot the issue further.

I do not see any conditionals added to your field.
So, I checked with my test site and I can see the data is get saved within the RFG even when I set the conditions.
You can access my site here: hidden link
user: demo
pwd: Admin@999
You can see the RFG is added namely "Student Additional Information" with the following custom field group where I've added the condition to the field "Relation Type" and "Stud Related-Email" : hidden link
the conditions are set based on the select field "Student Type".
I checked with one of the existing student entry and I can see RFG field content are get saved:
=> hidden link
Hi Minesh sorry for the late reply, yes sorry in the duplicator site I'm not using the conditional display, now I already set up the conditional display for the modules.
The step that you can follow is :
1. Go to Modules
2. Create one or go to the first item the "World Trade Organization" where there is several pages there
3. Create a new Modules Page (RFG-1) and choose either : Thumbnail, Timeline or Icons (this one that I have already add the conditional display for RFG-2 inside the Module Page)
4. So let say you choose Thumbnail, it will open the fields in RFG - "Modules - Thumbnail" below it, just input any data on it and then update the post.
5. The issue come up after the update process where the data that previously inputted before was not saved.
The second issue is when I rearrange the item in RFG - Modules Pages, to reorder it and click update the post, some of the data in items in Modules Pages also gone
I already test your test site but I think it not the same because you only have one level of RFG, where in my site there is two level
Minesh is not available today, if you don't mind, I'll continue with you on this ticket.
I logged into your website and I checked the custom fields.
The condition that you are setting is not correct and Toolset does not offer such a feature. Because, in Toolset, you cannot set conditions on other/related custom post types fields.
RFGs are built around a hidden relationship, One-to-many relationship between the host custom post type(CPT) and the CPT of the RFC. So, your second level RFG can't set a condition on the first level RFG fields. And the first RFG can't set conditions on the host CPT(such as Modules CPT).
I hope this makes sense. Let me know if you have any questions.
Hi Jamal, thanks for your confirmation, so this is not a bug and it's not possible, I can work around with that.
How about the second issue that I encounter :
"The second issue is when I rearrange the item in RFG - Modules Pages, to reorder it and click update the post, some of the data in items in Modules Pages also gone"
Is it a bug or did I miss something?

My apologies for missing that question in my last reply. However, for support rules, we are able to handle only one issue at a time. This helps us to bring you a better service and also helps other users to find all the information here exposed. For that reason, I have created another ticket and I'll be posting my reply on it.
If you believe that your original question regarding RFG field conditions is answered, please mark this ticket as resolved.
