[Resolved] The post excerpt is displayed as plain text on front

This support ticket is created 3 years, 1 month ago. There's a good chance that you are reading advice that it now obsolete.

This is the technical support forum for Toolset - a suite of plugins for developing WordPress sites without writing PHP.

Everyone can read this forum, but only Toolset clients can post in it. Toolset support works 6 days per week, 19 hours per day.

Tell us what you are trying to do?
I created template for a custom post. At the back end one can edit the excerpt using the editor. However, I created a template to show all fields of the post but then the text is shown as plain text.

I made the word 'sopranos' bold and added some returns right after baryton...

This is expected result, Toolset post excerpt shortcode is using WordPress built-in function the_excerpt() to get post excerpt data, see WP document:
https://developer.wordpress.org/reference/functions/the_excerpt/
An auto-generated excerpt will also have all shortcodes and tags removed.
So it shows post excerpt as plain text.
