I am trying to: use date fields in my cred forms

Link to a page where the issue can be seen: hidden link

I expected to see: a datepicker on the field Animal Intake Date

Instead, I got: the datepicker is no longer displaying

The problem seemed to show up with a recent Toolset update. The datepicker displays in our old staging site that is still using an older version of toolset.

Should I follow the instructions here? https://toolset.com/forums/topic/date-field-selector-not-appearing/
I'm afraid of deleting the plugins because it shows a warning that it ill deleted all of the data, too.

Hi Christina,

Thank you for contacting us and I'll be happy to assist.

I tried to view the form on the page you've shared, but it is showing "Permission denied" message.

During testing on my own website, I couldn't reproduce the issue with the latest Toolset updates.

Can you temporarily deactivate all non-Toolset plugins and then check the date-picker field again? This shouldn't delete any data or settings but would help ruling out any third-party plugin conflict.

In case the issue still persists, you're welcome to share temporary admin login details in reply to this message.
(I've set your next reply as private)

Important note: please make a complete backup copy of the website before sharing the access details.

regards,
Waqar

Inactivating the plugin Autoptimize brought the datepicker back. I can go forward without Autoptimize but, as that was recommended by the folks at WPEngine, it would be nice to know if this incompatibility is worked out in future.

Thanks!

Hi Christina,

Thanks for the update.

We've already highlighted this compatibility issue between the Autoptimize plugin and the date picker field to the concerned team and I'll keep you updated with the progress through this ticket.

For now, can you please try the following settings which solved this in my tests:

1. Activate the Autoptimize plugin and from its settings, check all 3 checkboxes for:
- Optimize JavaScript Code?
- Aggregate JS-files?
- Also aggregate inline JS?
( screenshot: hidden link )

2. In the "Exclude scripts from Autoptimize:" field below, include "codemirror.js", separated by a comma (,) and an empty space, from the last script's name.

After that please save the settings and clear all involved caches and then check the form's date-picker field again.

I hope this helps and please let me know how it goes.

regards,
Waqar
