I am trying to: Get the wordpress Archive template to allow searching of other categories

Link to a page where the issue can be seen: hidden link

I expected to see: All categories under the drop down

Instead, I got: Just the one of the archive

Is it possible to allow the user to search from the Archive page? Not just in the singular category.

Hello,

I assume we are talking about a taxonomy(categories) archive page, you are going to setup a custom search form, using taxonomy(categories) filter.

If it is, it is expected result, this is a limitation of Views plugin, in the taxonomy archive page, you can only display posts assigned to current term, Views can not display posts assigned to other terms, so it display only one option(current term) in the taxonomy drop down.
