[Resolved] Submit button not working

This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:

I have a CPT called "people". I hid the Title of the CPT in the CPT settings, and now when I go to enter all the custom fields I created for the CPT, in order to hit the "Schedule" (submit) button to create the post, it won't work unless I click in the area that shows to add a block.

Solution:

It is a feature of WordPress core, you need to input at least one of below:

- post title

- post content

Hi,

I have a CPT called "people". I hid the Title of the CPT in the CPT settings, and now when I go to enter all the custom fields I created for the CPT, in order to hit the "Schedule" (submit) button to create the post, it won't work unless I click in the area that shows to add a block. Is this a glitch?

I attached a screenshot for easier understanding of what I mean, basically I first have to click in that area, and then the Submit button "lights up" and I am able to click on it to save the post.

Thanks!

Hello,

It is a feature of WordPress core, for example you can try these:
Create a new post(WordPress built-in post), if you don't input anything into the post title or post content, the "Publish" button is gray(unclickable) too.

So you need to input at least one of below:
- post title
- post content

But I thought the whole point of the "Sections to display when editing" inside each Custom Post Type settings is so that if I unclick the "Title" checkbox, then it becomes hidden and I don't need to fill in any info for it?

I am not using the Title field for one of my CPT's, so I deselected it in order to hide it so that it's not necessary to input anything. It does work that I don't need to input anything, only first I have to click on that area above that I showed and then click away from it, and then the Publish button appears. I am not actually inputting any info into that "add block" area, I am simply clicking on it, and then clicking away, and I am wondering if there is a way to skip this step

Thanks!

Unfortunately, there isn't such kind of built-in feature within Toolset plugins, as I mentioned above, it is required by WordPress core, you should be able to see the same problem in WordPress built-in post types: post or page
