On my website (hidden link), the selection of filter values is only displayed if they occur. This also works with pagination, so filter values are also displayed that are on the other pages. If I now enter "catamaran room", for example, in the search field, it no longer works correctly. Only the filter values that are on the current page are displayed. Other pages are not taken into account, so that not all filter values are displayed. How can I change the behaviour?
Hello,
I assume you are going to display all options in the custom search form even there isn't any result.
If it is, you can try these:
Dashboard-> Toolset-> Views, find and edit the post view you mentioned above, in section "Custom Search Settings":
Enable option "Let me choose individual settings manually"-> "Always show all values for inputs"
If you don't see section "Custom Search Settings", you can enable it in "Screen Options"
Hello,
Thank you very much for your quick reply. That is not quite correct. I only want the filter values to be displayed that actually occur. But this should be from the first to the last page. This is also the case when the search has not been performed. After a search, this only works for one page at a time. Existing filter values of the later pages are not displayed as filter selection.
I assume we are talking about the option "Show only filter options that would produce results", it should work for all available results, including first page to the last page of pagination.
I have tried again in your website:
hidden link
In the search box "Suchbegriff eingeben", input text "catamaran room", and click button "Suchen", I see no item found in the result, and there isn't any option available in the search form of left sidebar.
Where can I see the problem you mentioned above:
Only the filter values that are on the current page are displayed. Other pages are not taken into account, so that not all filter values are displayed
Please provide detail steps to reproduce the same problem
Sorry, I entered the wrong search term. The correct search term is "Katamarantraum".
I can see the problem in your website, and I have tried it in my localhost with a fresh WP installation + the latest version of Toolset plugins, it works fine, I don't see the same problem as your website.
Please try these:
1) Make sure you are using the latest version of Toolset plugins, you can download them here:
https://toolset.com/account/downloads/
2) In case it is a compatibility problem, please deactivate all other plugins, and switch to WordPress default theme 2021, deactivate all custom PHP/JS code snippets, and test again
3) If the problem still persists, please provide database dump file(ZIP file) of your website, you can put the package files in your own google drive disk, share the link only, I need to test and debug it in my localhost, thanks

Hello Luo,
I have checked it further and gradually deactivated all plugins. All toolset plugins are up to date.
I noticed that the problem only occurs with user display names as a search term. To be able to search for user display names, I activated the function "Index the post author display name" in the Relevanssi plugin. If I search for the user display names "Katamarantraum" or "Moana Yachtcharter", the problem occurs. If I search for a normal search term such as "Korfu", then it works correctly. Really curious.
Can you test it with the new information on your localhost? Alternatively, I can duplicate the website for you.
Thanks a lot for your help!
How do you setup the view? user view or post view?
How do you setup the "user display names"? a post field or user field?
Please provide detail steps to reproduce the same problem, thanks
How do you setup the view? user view or post view?
It's a post view of my custom post type.
How do you setup the "user display names"? a post field or user field?
User display name is the WordPress preset field for a user, which Relevanssi can access, if the function "Index the post author display name" is activated. It is no custom field for the user or cpt.
I hope it helps. Otherwise, I can also provide you access to the website.
This is a limitation of Relevanssi plugin, see our document:
https://toolset.com/course-lesson/searching-texts-in-custom-fields-with-toolset-and-relevanssi/#integration-with-custom-searches
Once you add a search filter that includes custom fields, the entire search operation is performed by the Relevanssi plugin, which means that Relevanssi is also responsible for providing the results order.
Anyway, you can add a feature request for it, our developers will evaluate it:
https://toolset.com/home/contact-us/suggest-a-new-feature-for-toolset/
Very disappointing that the search in custom fields is not fully supported. I think it should be standard. Have now installed another plugin as Relevanssi, with which it works. Thanks for your help. Please delete this ticket as it contains website and customer information. Thank you very much.
