This is really strange: I'm using the Toolset star rating feature with the star icon set to Dashicon.
> when the user is logged in it displays correctly
> when the user is logged out it displays a box or some other symbol
This error can be seen on Chrome and Firefox plus on Safari on iPad.

Pls. look at the screenshots attached.
When you set the star icon to Unicode it works fine for logged in/out users / iPad

I see the Toolset Star rating Block fine as a logged-out user as well in my tests.

I also saw your star rating on all browsers I tested

I have currently no access to a tablet, but will in a few hours - is the issue only happening on tablets?

In any case, I suggest confirming no other plugin, or Theme is causing this.
I suggest testing this in a staging site so you can safely disable all Plugins but Toolset, and test with another theme.

Thanks!

Sorry Beda, I fixed it by switching to Unicode Icons. When selecting Dashicon it breaks.
I’m traveling and will let you know when I’m able to switch it back.

Hello,

I can login your website, and tried these:
1) Edit the WordPress Archive "Testimonials", find and edit the "Star Rating" block, change it to "Dashicons", save.
2) logged out, test it in front-end with Chrome + Firefox browser, it works fine. It seems to be a cache problem, I suggest you try to clear your browser cache, and test again.

Thanks Luo, it must have been a cache issue, it seems to work fine now with either Unicode or Dashicon start icons...!

Field and text refresh error.png

For whatever it's worth, I've had this question mark showing up the longest time in the fields and text field in the archive view on the front and back end (1). I did save it last week multiple times, clear browser cache, etc. but the question mark persisted until now that I went back to this page and did the next step in the screenshot:

After opening each of the settings (2) on the right panel but not changing anything, then saving again, the question marks disappeared (3)

Maybe there is some refresh missing in the code of Toolset? Anyhow if I see it again on another page I can report this again, as it may be confusing for users as it was for me. FYI I'm using a local dev environment on Linux and I do not have any issues of this sort with other WP plugins or sites. It's a normal habit that I will do a browser clear cache, but here it did not help.
