Hi Waqar,

Thanks for looking into the issue.

We have disabled the Subscription option meta box from the post type and the posts are updating fine.

We also notice an issue with adding/connecting existing posts in the post-relationship. We created a new post type Sr_courses, Sr_lesson,Sr_expert

We created many-to-many relationships. When content notify is inactive
In post relationship, we can add a new post in post relationship and Connect an existing post shows no result found

Content notify is active :
In post relationship, it show error when we add a new post and Connect an existing post shows no result found

I have attached the screenshot of the error when we try to add new post in post relationship.

Thanks in advance, Please guide us on this issue.

Hi,

Thank you for waiting, while I performed some tests around this.

It turns out that the 'Content Notify' plugin runs some functions, whenever any post is saved/created at the database level.

This becomes problematic, in case of many-to-many relationships, because each connection also creates a post in an intermediary post type.

You can go to WP Admin -> Subscriptions -> Settings -> General and in the option 'Disable 'Subscription Options' Metabox' select all the post types ending with 'Intermediary Posts'.
( screenshot: hidden link )

This will fix the error coming when trying to connect the posts in many-to-many relationship.

regards,
Waqar

Hi Waqar,

I have provided the relationship post type in the disabled subscription meta box.

I can add the new expert now.

To Connect existing experts it shows no result found even when the content notify plugin is deactivated.

Connect existing posts are working for the older post type created. But it not working for the new post type.

Please guide us on this.

Thanks in advance,

Thanks for writing back.

Can you please share the exact steps to see this behavior on the staging website? For example which two existing posts you were trying to connect and from which post's edit screen?

We have Sr_courses and Sr_expert post types. we created many-to-many relationships.

In Sr_Courses edit any post. Try to do connect existing experts it shows no result found.(same issue when we try to connect courses in Sr_lesson)

Please have a look and let me know if need any info

Thanks in advance

I've created a separate ticket for this issue of posts not showing in the relationship management meta box.

Thanks for investigating the issue.

The issue was resolved by selecting the post type Relavaansi plugin settings.
