I am trying to: Sort a view with the field "last name" in ascending order where the Swedish letters å, ä and ö should be listed last after z.

I visited this URL: hidden link

I expected to see: The field "last name" Åberg and Öberg last. The order in the Swedish alphabet is å, ä and ö after z.

Instead, I got: The last name Åberg first (interpreted as A?) and Öberg in the middle (interpreted as O after N?).

The database and it's tables is in utf8mb4_unicode_ci.

Best regards,
Simon

I fear this is not a Views issue.

The Views Plugin uses the WP Query, it's just a GUI-Wrapper for that native WordPress Query.

Now, things you can try are converting your DataBase to utf8_swedish_ci, but I am not sure that will work.

I suggest performing a good DataBase backup first, or try on a Local Install.

Thank you Beda,

I will try changing the collation on a test site.

Best regards,
Simon
