Guys,
You are doing a great job!! Congratulations!
I'm rather new in using toolset, but based on my limited experience, I would suggest to keep the following topics in your focus:
1 - Multi-step CRED forms. I've seen this is promised for a while already. Is there a deadline?
2 - Integration of repeating fields in CRED post forms. Also promised, when can we expect to get it.
3 - Images (and videos) are priorities for some of us. I would need an easy way to create an image gallery for example. Or a video gallery.
Thanks a lot!
Best whises,
Alin
Hi, thanks for the feedback 🙂
Let me reply in short:
1 - Multi-step CRED forms. I've seen this is promised for a while already. Is there a deadline?
No deadline on this.
It is filed, but there is no release version yet.
Here a thread that shows workarounds:
https://toolset.com/forums/topic/user-multi-part-form/#post-337000
2 - Integration of repeating fields in CRED post forms. Also promised, when can we expect to get it.
You must mean Repeatable Fields Groups, as Repeating Fields are long ago integrated in Toolset Forms.
So are Repeating Fields, just not yet fully.
Currently, you cannot create Toolset Forms for nested repeatable groups.
To use Toolset forms to edit existing information that comes from repeatable groups, you need to either display this Form in a View that lists RFG, or, pass an ID of the RFG (with the GUI) to the post attribute.
You can as well add RFG with Forms.
https://toolset.com/documentation/getting-started-with-toolset/creating-and-displaying-repeatable-field-groups/front-end-forms-for-repeatable-field-groups/
Example steps:
1. Create Post Form set to edit RFG and autocomplete
2. Insert anywhre and choose specific post top be edited when you insert the Edit Form
(GUI suggests the RFGs available if you type)
==> In a View that could be [wpv-post-id] if you query RFG
3. Use on front end Form to:
Update RFG Title, Content and Parent Post.
3 - Images (and videos) are priorities for some of us. I would need an easy way to create an image gallery for example. Or a video gallery.
Why not a View slider with as seen here?
https://toolset.com/documentation/user-guides/creating-sliders-with-types-and-views/
Or, one as seen here:
https://toolset.com/home/module-manager/ > sliders
Would this help?
Hi Beda,
You are awesome!! 🙂 Thanks a lot!
You made my life easier.
Best wishes,
