Hi guys,

What is the best way to put the filters (and if possible also the search fields) in a side bar? I will attach a design to show you what I'm trying to create.

I've seen a few older threads about using the sidebar widget or using Layouts but I'm wondering since the new block editor is a nice way of visually designing views could't I use that?

I have tried to edit the sidebar widget in the widget area of the dashboard but it just keeps crashing when selecting the view that it should operate on. Also the view editor has been a little problematic for me (buggy). After updating some things stopped working, loading takes forever and previewing edits is not working at all. I''m hoping that if I delete my current work and start over on a new page it will fix the problem..? I'm just curious if I'm the only one who's experiencing issues or if it's more widespread? And if so are you working on any updates to fix these bugs?

Hello,

I suggest you try to follow our document to display Views search form in the sidebar:
https://toolset.com/documentation/user-guides/views/front-page-filters/#vfmh-display-the-filter-in-widget
section "4.2. Displaying the search form as a widget":
From the WordPress Widgets page, select the WP Views Filter widget and drag it to the Sidebar where you want it to display.

For the problem: After updating some things stopped working
Please elaborate the question with more details, provide detail steps to duplicate the same problem, thanks
