when logged in as administrator, the post displays, but the edit link is not displaying.png

post author same as logged in user filter used.png

Tell us what you are trying to do? the user is able to login and fill in cred form and the post gets displayed on all the list of posts and also gets displayed on the my account page as a single post when i am logged in as administrator, but when the user is logged in, the single post is not displayed in the my account page. i have made a view and a query filter with post author is same as logged in user, but the single post doesnt display on the my account page, but displays when i am logged in as administrator.

i also did the edit content template and made an edit form, but the edit link is also not displaying.

Is there any documentation that you are following? https://toolset.com/course-lesson/allow-users-to-manage-their-items/
https://toolset.com/course-lesson/front-end-forms-for-editing-content/

Is there a similar example that we can see?

What is the link to your site?hidden link

Hello and thank you for contacting the Toolset support.

Maybe you have configured the form to create the post with a different status than publish, can you take a screenshot of the form's first section? Or allow me temporary access to check if further.

Views, by default, will return public and private posts, but you can add a query filter on the view to choose all statuses or selected ones.

Your next reply will be private to let you share credentials safely. ** Make a database backup before sharing credentials. **

The custom post type "Winter Rental" was not supporting the "Author" option, check this screenshot hidden link
This makes the form create the new posts with a different author than the current user. The author becomes the site's administrator user.

I activated the option for the custom post type to be able to see the posts' authors in the posts' list. The published posts belong to the same user. Check this screenshot hidden link

I changed the first post's author to another user, and it does not appear on the account page anymore. hidden link

On the other hand, the custom post type is not managed by Toolset Access. It uses the default WordPress permissions, which means that the user with the custom role "User" is not allowed to create new posts. You will need to manage the custom post by Toolset and allow the custom role to create new posts. Check this screenshot hidden link

If you are still encountering an issue, please provide more details about the whole process. Add URLs when relevant:
- Where the user will use the form? Where the form is used? URLs from the frontend or the backend will be helpful.
- The form seems to create "Pending" posts. How do you publish them? In the backend or in the frontend?

dear,

thank you for you clear explanation. i also changed the permission to toolset for the posts.

you told me you changed the user of the post with the bottle of beer. can you please tell me which user, as i am not able to get logged in with the linda1951 user, i changed the password but doesnt work. when i fill in new passwords, the page with the new passwords comes up again, should not a login page come after new pasword? how did you add the post to another user?

the form is used on the "add your listing button" in the header. the form will be on front end and will be pending until i publish it. but the beer post was already approved by me and published, i do that in the backend i think, change the approved to publish. i do not want automatically published as for example for the holiday rentals they need to give me a document of their holiday licence.

thats another question i have, when i have generic custom fields in the cred form, which means for example a file to upload with their licence document of the property, where will that document, word or pdf file (or any other information of a generic field) be stored? as i need to ask some information which not needs to be published such as licence, ....

thank you for your help.

I changed the user using the quick edit feature from the posts' list. Check this screenshot hidden link

You can also change the author for multiple posts at the same time using the bulk actions. Check this screenshot hidden link

However, for support rules, we are able to handle only one issue at a time. This helps us to bring you a better service and also helps other users to find all the information here exposed. For that reason I have created another ticket to answer your last question, I'll post my reply there.
