Tell us what you are trying to do?
I have 2 post types, a service post type where advertisers can submit their services and a child (relationship post type) connected to the service post type page through a post form.
The post form acts as a messaging system where visitors can send message to the advertiser, I have a notification bell as you can see in the screenshot which currently shows a "0" and I want to be able to show to the advertiser the number of unread messages (related to the child post relationship), meaning that each time a visitor send a message through this form to update this "0" to let say "1", "2" etc. depending on the number of post that were posted through the advertiser message form so when the message is read by the advertiser, this number is reset etc.
Is there any documentation that you are following?
No
Is there a similar example that we can see?
Same as provided in the screenshot.
What is the link to your site?
hidden link
Hi there,
Welcome to the Toolset support forum!
We have some native ways of send notifications to your users when a post is submitted, please check it out: https://toolset.com/course-lesson/send-notifications-when-someone-submits-the-form/
If you want to change it a bit, I'm afraid that it would be necessary to configure it with some code customization. Unfortunately, custom code solutions are beyond the scope of this support forum but we recommend that you check our contractors page: https://toolset.com/contractors/.
Please let me know if this explanation is clear and solves the question. Thanks!
Regards,
Mateus.
