I want setup different post type archive title from post type name within UI.
Before Toolset types I used CPTUI where this was standard functionality (screenshot):

Maybe you could consider implementing this in the next update or so?
In the screenshot shared there are no options to alter the archive name as far I see.
There are just labels for Admin things, which you can set as well in Types (Toolset)
To alter the archive however in Toolset you will head to Toolset > Post Types > your_type > Edit > Options
There you can find all settings necessary to alter the Post Type Slug (permalink) and archive type slug.
Hi Beda,
Thanks for getting back, what I mean is that the POST type name can differ from the menu name in the WordPress admin menu. At this point this isn't possible with Toolset, CPTUI does support this option.
I understand.
You have a Post Type "name-a", and you want the WordPress Main Admin Menu item to say "name-b".
So, basically, you want to alter the label of that menu (wp-menu-name)
I have filed the request here:
https://toolset.com/feature-request/allow-to-customize-the-label-of-custom-post-types-in-wordpress-admin-menu-wp-menu-name/
https://toolset.com/feature-request/?wpv_post_search=wp-menu-name&wpv_sort_orderby=post_date&wpv_sort_orderby_as=string&wpv_view_count=686737
Note, currently the "Name plural (required)" is used for that Menu Label.
Hence, altering that can help you to achieve a similar solution, however, the Name plural (required) is also used in other screens where you may not want to rename the CPT.
Hi Beda,
Thanks a lot, that's what I mean, perfect:) Looking forward to the future update if implemented;)
Best, Jelle
My issue is resolved now. Thank you!
