I am trying to:

I have set up a Repeatable Group of custom fields. When in the page editor and filling out values for the fields in the repeating group, I often provide an Internal Title for each repeatable group.

However, these Internal Titles are being reported on the site search mechanism. And when clicked on in the search results, the links take the user to an empty page.

Link to a page where the issue can be seen:

The site is not yet live - but some screengrabs are provided.

File toolset-issue-002a shows two entries in the page editor, relating to the repeater group. I have highlighted the internal titles for each.

File toolset-issue-002b shows the two internal titles showing up in the site search - I've highlighted one of them in yellow.

I expected to see:

I don't expect these Internal Titles to be included in the site search.

Instead, I got:

The Repeater Group internal titles listed in the site search listings.

Hi Michael

You are right, there doesn't seem to be a good reason to include repeatable field groups in search results.

When you create a repeatable field group it creates a new post type to act as a container for its fields. When a post type is registered there is an option available "exclude_from_search".

I've asked that we set this when registering post types for RFGs.

I'll escalate this thread and let you know when I have any feedback.

Hi Michael

This will be fixed in a Types hotfix which should be released early next week at the latest.

Keep an eye out for the update, then re-test, and if you still see the RFGs in the search results let me know.

Thanks Nigel. I'm hoping to put one of my sites live next week but definitely wouldn't want to go live with this error. I'll look out for the update and will get back to you when I've retested.
