[Resolved] Repeating Custom Fields not working as expected

I have a group of repeating fields which contain 2 select custom fields. Month and Year.

Inside that group of repeating fields, i have another group containing, horse, date, racecourse, race name and race link.

On the page where these custom fields display, when I click on "add new current entries month and year" it doesn't show the child group of fields until i save it. There is no error message warning me to save.

The same happens with the repeating child group of fields. I have to save it.

Sometimes i get a message saying "System error, can't delete, when trying to delete a line of fields".

It's all a bit clunky and not working as I expected.

If you see one of the screencaps it shows the Current Entries Month and Year, but no dropdown menus like there should be. Once i save it, it is fine.The other screencap shows that January was fine, but February not displaying the child custom fields until i save it.

If you could take a look that would be appreicated.

As discussed in chat, I'm escalating this issue to my 2nd tier support team. Until we get some feedback, it appears the best way to handle this is to save the post at least once before adding any RFGs, and also save the post after creating any parent RFG that will contain nested RFGs.

Thanks Christian. It's not active on the live site yet, so i will wait for a fix. I know it would drive my client nuts, lol.

Thanks Chrisitian, much appreciated. Do we have an expected time frame for this to be fixed? For instance is it likely to be fixed in the next 4 weeks?

Update - I've received word that this issue has been prioritized into the next release of Types. We plan to have it ready for release today or tomorrow. I'll let you know when it's ready, as soon as I can.

Types 3.2.3 is now available for automatic update or download from toolset.com. Please update to the latest version and let me know if the problem is not completely resolved.

Hi there,

I am experiencing this problem despite having followed the steps outlined above and using the latest version of Types 3.3.1.
