Tell us what you are trying to do? I am setting up my new website and I want to set posts to automatically expire after 14 days. I want the user to be able to easily renew the listing though without having to refill out the form. They will however have to pay to renew the listing.

I have the post set up to automatically expire already. I know how to send out the notification prior to it expiring. I have the product linked to the form. What is the easiest way for users to renew the post and pay? Or do they have to refill out the form?

Hello. Thank you for contacting the Toolset support.

I'm not sure that could be the best possible option as Toolset does not offer such feature and when we say best solution it will be vary person to person based on the requirement.

Have you set any limit per membership how many listing user can create? If yes, lets say for instance you set 5 listing per membership and when post expired, you can deduct that count and when it will be 0 (zero) then you can check conditionally that if there is 0 allowed listing then you can display the buy/purchase/renew link to user. This is just idea as I'm not sure how exactly you setup your membership site.

Here is the membership site full course:

Toolset do not offer such feature for renewals. Please check the following related ticket that might help you:

Or you can check any other third-party plugin that fulfill your requirement.

Thank you foe the response! I'm not sure how to set up memberships to add credits when it renews, display the credits in the profile, and then limit the form to only display if the user has those credits. I've found some of these steps on previous support ticket forum posts but not all of the steps. I see you sent me a link to the memberships course but that doesn't explain issuing credits either. It just talks about setting up recurring payments and changing the user role. I know I can limit access based on user role, but how can I implement a credit system?

And based on what you said I want to make sure I'm understanding correctly. There is no possible way to have a user renew a listing and the listing keeps the old information and the user submits it again? They must manually refill everything out? I want to make my site as user friendly as possible, so ideally a renew or relist button would take the user to another screen with the form with the post information already filled out and a submit button for them to pay again. If you know of any plug-in that can make this happen that would also be helpful.

Since I am new to this, if you could explain to me how renewing a post works that'd be great. I can't find any documentation on what it looks like or what it does. The only documentation I can find is that you can set up the email to notify a user if it's going to expire. If the user clicks renew do they just refill out the information and submit again?

Unfortunately - I do not have any recommendation but here is the list of membership plugin that you may check if it fits into your requirement.

You can also use "WooCommerce Subscriptions" plugin but whatever is listed that's possible.
