I get 'Invalid site key for the current site' error everywhere.

Hi Shlomi,

Thank you for contacting us and I'll be happy to assist.

An issue like this can be faced if there is a mismatch between the URL used for the site key registration and the one set at WP Admin -> Settings -> General.

Can you please confirm if your website's base domain/URL has been changed since this key was generated?

If that is the case, I would suggest regenerating the key for your current site, following these steps:

- Please go to your account: https://toolset.com/account/sites/
- Remove the site which you are having issues.
- Register the same site again.
- Make sure that you set the URL as appearing in Settings -> General -> WordPress Address.
- Go to your site dashboard again and register the plugin with the newly generated key.

Important notes:
1. If your website is using the older 2.x version of the Toolset Types plugin, you can manually deactivate and then delete it from the website and download the latest one from https://toolset.com/account/downloads/.

2. Deactivating and deleting the Toolset Types plugin is a very safe process and shouldn't delete the plugin's existing data or settings.

Still, as a precaution, you're welcome to make a complete backup copy of the website, before proceeding with the manual update.

Please let me know how it goes and also about the current version of the Toolset Types plugin on the website.

regards,
Waqar

Oh, I see, this happens with older sites having Toolset 2.2 installed. So I just need to upgrade to 3.3 somehow?

Hi Shlomi,

Your understanding is correct and if your website has the older 2.x version of the Toolset Types plugin, you can update it manually.

As mentioned in the previous reply, you'll first deactivate and then delete the existing plugin version and then install the latest one.
https://toolset.com/faq/how-to-install-and-register-toolset/#manual-installation-if-you-dont-have-types-plugin

Once the latest version has been installed, the site key registration should work.
